My family and I decided to try this new place that opened up beside Citrus recently. It's called Sharon's place if I'm not mistaken. Another blog recommended it, so we thought "What the heck!" and off we went.
Sad to say, the service was quite bad. The food was alright I guess. But a lot of little mistakes that they made bugged me. Or am I just being picky? :p
First of, when the waitress was taking our order, she told us that they serve set dinners. However, she did not produce any written information on the set menu. Instead, she just briefly listed the possible combinations. Some of the items she mentioned, I couldn't even find on the menu provided. But me and my mom thought, "What the heck!", and ordered the set dishes. My dad ordered from the Ala Carte menu.
So, we settled to waiting for our food. My mom and I got our drinks rather quickly, but my dad only got his after my mom and I were half way through our drinks. My dad ordered a glass of warm water, mind you, and we had to ask them for that glass of water. After that, they served my main course before the soup. Even after I finished my main course (mom and dad finished long time ago), there was no sign of the soup. We asked for the soup. Waitress was surprised that we hadn't gotten the soup. She went to get the soup. She came back and said "sorry, out of soup. Is garlic bread ok?". So we said sure. Got the garlic bread. Ate it. Waited for dessert. Did not look like it was coming anytime soon. Asked for the dessert. Got the dessert. Ate it. Tried to ask for the bill. No one in sight. When someone DID show up, they didn't look in our direction. I got annoyed. Went up to the counter and paid myself. Then left.
The lady that opened the place did come over to ask how the food was. She was really nice. And you could tell she's making the effort. The food was alright. It was the service and management that was below par. Hope they fix it. I know I won't be able to get my dad back there anymore. :)
Also, the set dinner was a little pricey for the fare that they served. In my honest opinion, that is. Feel free to give it a try. :)
